Keep doing this series... this is better than the previous one I just watched... I think you could have something good if you improved the sound quality and the storyboarding.
Really very good.
I enjoyed it... it certainly was unpredictable, and very funny.
Was that the Sonic CD theme I heard at the end?
I imagine this is going to get blammed, but it did make me laugh. You have some skill at animation, and your freehand drawings are better than anything I could do.
Good job setting this to music. Then again, you usually do a good job with this stuff.
You almost made me piss myself.
The funniest movies I've seen on NG today. The only thing that bugged me was the cartoon porn... it seemed a little out-of-step to me.
The song was funny, but whoever was doing the voice either couldn't keep a straight face or couldn't match a singing voice with his impression... it falters a little at the beginning.
Jackson also sounds a bit like a Southern belle. I thought it was a funny take on his voice, but I didn't know if it was an intentional slam on his girliness or not.
I don't mean to sound overly critical, so realize that the dialogue and the sight gags were for the most part spot-on... especially the kids' drawings, those were hilarious.
I wish I was this good at Flash when I first started. Fuck, I wish I was this good now.
A good first effort.
I liked Wario's posing at the beginning. And for a sprite movie, it's better than most first-timers.
It was a little short, though.
I also don't like peoples' inclinations to use text to convey speech. You put yours in dialogue balloons, which is good. If you *really* want to impress, make a sprite movie with no text dialogue, using only actual game sounds. If you put enough effort into it, you can convey anything without speech.
You need to learn how to optimize music for your movies. This was less than 800k before you added a full (I'm assuming) 128kbps MP3. That bumped it up over 4 megabytes. There's no reason to use mp3s over 96kbps in your Flash... most people stick with 64 or lower.
Good idea, bad sound.
It's a good concept, but I don't think this was the right song for a tutorial.
The rhythm guitar almost completely drowns the lead out. I personally had problems picking out what part of the tab you were playing through most of the song.
Thanks for the alert! Flash had mixed it down to mono, you should be able to pick each part out better now.
This should appeal to everyone, not just military/aviation buffs. Very stylish, I loved the quick cut to the cockpit... how long did you work on that two seconds of animation? :P
